The Boya USB studio microphone BY-PM500 is a condenser microphone that is ideal for voice recordings, interviews, conference calls, singing, instruments, podcasts, and more. The BY-PM500 is highly functional and offers two recording modes:

• Cardioid: Captures sound from the front while ignoring sounds from other sides. Suitable for recording dialogues, podcasts, and speeches.
• Omnidirectional: Captures sound evenly from all directions. Ideal for vibrant, natural recordings of speech sounds, conversations, and ambient noise.

The studio microphone is compatible with Windows and MacOS thanks to the included USB-A and USB-C cables. Most other devices with a USB-C port, including smartphones and tablets, are also suitable for use with the PM-500. With software of your choice, such as Audacity or Audition, you can easily make audio recordings and save them directly. The connected device also powers the microphone, so no batteries are needed.

To use the microphone, loosen the screws on the mount. Then position the microphone as desired and tighten the screws again. Use the USB cables to connect the built-in USB port to the USB port of your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Recorded audio can also be monitored in real-time. To do this, connect your headphones to the microphone via the 3.5mm output located at the bottom. We recommend using the Boya BY-HP2 headphones, which can be found in the optional accessories. Additionally, the front of the microphone features a volume control and a button to switch between the polar patterns. You can also mount the BY-PM500 on a tripod using the 5/8" internal thread at the bottom.
