Hello :) Can this router be used to replace the original Wingo router? Thanks in advance!
not directly.
You can attach it to the Wingo router, then configure a fixed IP for the Asus router in your Wingo.ch profile and forward all ports via DMZ (as a bridge, so to speak).
Since all traffic is then routed to the Asus, this is then your main router in the house.
I can't say for sure.
This router only has LAN connections. So if you have a modem and/or a router, you can only replace the part that has a LAN input. Personally, I had to leave the modem in between because I only had one coaxial connection (round cable) at home.
If the router is set up and does not work, you may still have to enter the Mac address of the router at Wingo (in a customer portal). However, this differs from ISP to ISP and is usually only necessary with static public IPs.
I hope the answer is not too technical and helps. :)
