HipLok

HIPLOK was founded in 2011, when co-founders and product designers Ben Smith and John Abrahams launched the world's first waist-worn bike lock. They set themselves the task of designing a secure bike lock that wouldn't have to be carried in a bulky bag or damage the bike frame by being unstably attached to it. Inspired by the bike messenger scene, the concept for the original HIPLOK locks was born.
