5 suitable card games for day drinking

Card games are ideal for spicing up the atmosphere at your next day drinking session. They shouldn't be too complicated, but still need to provide enough excitement.

On a warm summer's day, there's nothing better for me than sitting on a lawn with friends and enjoying a few cool drinks. A few simple and entertaining card games are a must. They don't take up much space in your bag and can be taken anywhere. The following five games are my favourites.

1. frantic

I first held Frantic cards in my hand five years ago. The enthusiasm for this game is just as high today as it was back then. You can easily play it for a whole afternoon without losing interest. Frantic plays like Uno on steroids. In contrast to the children's game, Frantic allows you to target your fellow players in a much meaner and more brutal way.

2nd phase 10

A little quieter than Frantic, but just as entertaining is Phase 10. The aim is to have different card combinations in your hand over several phases. Compared to Frantic, Phase 10 is less aggressive. Although you play against your friends, you mainly focus on your cards.

3. cabo

4. skyjo

Skyjo is a rather simple card game with great addictive potential. All players have twelve face-down cards with values between -2 and 12 in front of them. You can gradually reveal or swap these cards. The aim is to score as few points as possible per round. You can also play Skyjo in large rounds with up to eight people. However, I recommend no more than five, as anything more than that makes the game too slow in my opinion.

5th Jass cards

Classic Jass cards are and remain a guarantee for quick games with friends. Whether it's "Tschau Sepp", "Hose abe" or "Schällejass", there are many different variations that you can play with just one set of cards. Most of the games don't have complicated rules and can be played without any problems even after two bottles of Prosecco.

What are your favourites and which card game do you always have in your backpack? Let us know and write it in the comments.
