The AirPods Max are first-class headphones that are unrivalled in terms of sound quality. They also impress with their ease of use and good fit. Apple fans who can spare 600 euros are doing everything right. Everyone else is better served with theSONY WH-1000XM4 - and saves almost 250 euros at the same time.

The AirPods Max are large and comparatively heavy, but are very comfortable to wear thanks to their well-shaped pads and wide headband. With a small rotary knob, operation is more convenient than with almost any other headphones. In terms of battery life, however, the Max only delivers an average maximum of 20 hours.
