The New Viennese Original

The OC818, entirely designed and handcrafted in Vienna, represents the forefront of the Austrian Audio large-diaphragm microphone series.

Its excellent technical features, such as low self-noise and high sensitivity, and especially its revolutionary design approaches, make it one of the most advanced microphones for both studio and live use. Since the CKR12 capsule, which is sonically inspired by the legendary CK12 capsule, is made of ceramic, the production variance is so low that every OC818 can form a "Matched Pair" with another OC818 or OC18 (OC818 in cardioid mode).

• Dual-output for separate recording of both diaphragms

Making Passion Heard

We work with passion, and our colleagues in manufacturing, some of whom have been producing high-end transducers since the 1990s, work with particularly great enthusiasm. Each individual CKR12 ceramic capsule is assembled by hand in our facility. At the same time, we are training the next generation of microphone specialists here at Austrian Audio.
