The WAZA Craft Special Edition Blues Driver Pedal BD-2W from Boss is based on the popular BD-2. The WAZA Edition features two modes that can be switched between using a toggle. The Standard mode operates like the classic BD-2 Blues Driver Pedal, known for its earthy overdrive, sound variety, and responsiveness as well as dynamics with changes in playing volume. The Custom mode of the BD-2W Waza Edition pedal offers a wider range in tone control, more gain, and slightly more bass and warmth. Additionally, it includes a newly developed analog circuit used in the WAZA series, which makes the sound a bit rounder than the standard BD-2 model.
