With the 1-month TV module from freenet TV, customers can receive up to 20 top private channels in HD quality via DVB-T2 as well as via satellite on Astra 19.2 East, in addition to the programs of public broadcasters. Customers who choose the freenet TV module can flexibly change their reception method at any time through their freenet TV customer account.

To receive freenet TV with a TV module, a HD-capable receiver or television with a free CI+ slot is required. Additionally, it is important that the receiver is equipped with a suitable tuner for DVB-S for satellite reception or DVB-T2 for antenna reception. The support for the reception format can be identified by the blue DVB-S and/or the green DVB-T2 logo.

The installation of the TV module is very simple; it just needs to be inserted into a free CI+ slot, and the programs from freenet TV are already decrypted. Customers of freenet TV do not need an additional smart card for the decryption of freenet TV, as the decryption is already integrated into the hardware of freenet TV or certified manufacturers. The reception of freenet TV programs is limited to Germany.
