The high-quality metal housing is equipped with a precisely crafted aperture ring that allows for intuitive adjustments of the aperture values in 1/3-stop increments. The unique design of the aperture blades creates an excellent bokeh effect. The blades are curved, resulting in an almost circular opening at all aperture settings. The edges of the blades have been rounded, contributing to sharper images. The FUJIFILM X mount fully utilizes the advantages of a mirrorless design. The short flange distance of just 17.7 mm enables high resolution performance across the entire image area.
