The in-wall RDS radio consists of a radio module with a control panel and a speaker with a cover. The radio module is compactly housed in an in-wall housing and can be installed in a single device box. The speaker can be installed in combination with the radio module or separately in a device box. Two speakers can be connected to the radio module. The radio automatically detects connected speakers and switches between stereo and mono operation. The display of the control panel shows the station name, transmission frequency, and time when an appropriate RDS signal is present. The radio is operated via the capacitive buttons on the control panel, requiring only a light touch on the symbols. The in-wall RDS radio has two memory slots where a station can be easily stored and retrieved by pressing a button. Through the auxiliary input, the radio can be turned on together with room lighting using a light switch or automatic switch. External audio sources, such as MP3 players, can be connected to the radio via the stereo AUX input. An additional RCA audio module is required to connect the external audio source, which connects to the AUX terminals of the radio module. The docking station module connects directly to the stereo AUX input for music playback. In sleep mode, the radio automatically turns off 30 minutes after being switched on. When combined with other electronic devices under a common cover, there may be reception impairments.
