Simply stretch the rods until they click into place, mount it on the light source - and you're done. It works best if you stretch opposite rods one after the other. The softbox can be just as easily disassembled: you lift the individual rods at the speedring base slightly, press the corresponding button, and then release the rod.

The inner diffuser additionally reduces the formation of a brighter light area in the center of the image. The outer diffuser creates an enlarged light surface and further spreads the light.
