The Lexmark Form and Barcode Card supports electronic forms created with the Form Composer, which are stored in Flash memory or on the hard drive of Lexmark printers using the Lexmark Form Manager. A Flash memory or hard drive is required to store the electronic forms on the MFP or printer. Forms can be merged and printed quickly using variable ASCII text data sent over the network. The card supports access to PCL® and PostScript commands for more than 47 industry-standard one- and two-dimensional barcodes. Through the Lexmark Form Manager, you can load and manage forms, update firmware, and change the card's mode. Only one of these cards can be used at a time: Form and Barcode Card, IPDS Card, or PRESCRIBE Card. These cards connect via the same port.
