Next-generation S-Line optics: maximum image quality and a lighter lens. With double-sided aspherical lenses, Super ED glass and SR glass as well as meso-amorphous coating and ARNEO coating against ghost images and stray light.

Smoother bokeh: The new diaphragm with 11 rounded blades and the advanced optics create a softer bokeh that is better defined and smoothly graded, giving a more natural depth of field.
