Insgesamt bietet der BD Player eine gute Leistung und ist auch mit einer sehr großen Formatvielfalt versehen. Dies gilt für die eingelegten Scheiben sowie den Zufuhr von Daten per USB. Lediglich die Anschlussvielfalt könnte hier ein wenig größer sein.
Bei einem Blu-ray-Player dieser Preisklasse, hätte man eigentlich eine so prima Ausstattung nicht erwartet. Der Panasonic DMP-BDT220 bringt tolle Extras mit sich, er ist in der Lage 3D-Inhalte abzuspielen, er unterstützt DLNA und kann auch ohne weiteres als vollwertiger Multimediaplayer zum Einsatz kommen.
Außer einer tollen Ausstattung konnte der Panasonic mit einem sehr guten Bild in 2D als auch 3D punkten und zudem bietet er sehr viele Internetanwendungen. Auch die Bedienung gestaltet sich äußerst intuitiv, sodass der Nutzer mit der Bedienung recht schnell zurecht kommt.
Obwohl er sogar günstiger ist, als sein direkter Vorgänger, hat der Blu-ray-Player mehr Internetfunktionen und lässt sich zudem besser bedienen. Die Ausstattung an sich ist hingegen ziemlich auf gleichem Niveau.
