Product details

The Planet VC-231 is an Ethernet over VDSL2 converter that operates using two network technologies: Ethernet and VDSL2, providing ultra-fast data rates over existing copper telephone lines. As a result, you do not have to install new cables. The connection distance can reach up to 100/1000 Mbps over 300 meters and 50/2 Mbps over 1.4 kilometers for long-distance lines.

  • DMT (Discrete Multi-Tone) line coding
  • Half duplex back pressure and IEEE 802.3x full duplex pause frame flow control
  • Built-in POTS splitter to share voice and data (VC-234 only)
  • Voice and data communication can be shared on the existing telephone wire simultaneously
  • Hardware IGMP snooping for multimedia service (VC-234)
  • Support for up to 1536 bytes packet size, 802.1Q VLAN tag transparent
  • VDSL2 stand-alone transceiver for simple bridge modem application
  • Selectable target profile and target SNR margin
  • LED indicators for network diagnostics.
