The Planet WGSW-24040HP4 layer 2 switch was designed to make CCTV and Wi-Fi hotspot installation easier with a PoE+ power budget and extended management functions. The switch is also suited for VoIP applications and has 4 SFP fiber ports. The PoE+ budget of 440 W supplies power to 14 night/day PTZ IP cameras requiring 30 W each or 24 IP cameras requiring 15 W each. Additionally, the Watchdog function controls the status of each connected camera and initiates automatic rebooting in case of a link loss, eliminating the need for on-site checks. The switch also features an embedded schedule that supplies only the amount of power needed depending on the context.
