The NT3 is considered a workhorse in studio circles. The gold-sputtered 3/4” condenser capsule is suitable for capturing most acoustic instruments. This microphone is designed for studio, live, and outdoor use (with a boom) and is preferred for the following instruments: drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, guitar amplifier, piano, and other acoustic instruments. Radio and television correspondents, as well as film crews, also favor it. The NT3 supports both P48 phantom power and the use of a 9V battery (if phantom power is not available). Its robust housing and metal grille make it suitable even for tougher conditions. The RØDE NT3 is manufactured in Australia and allows for a free extension of the RØDE warranty to 10 years.
