The Streamer X offers 4K/30 recording, 4K/60 passthrough, and supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Two independent USB-C ports enable a true dual-PC setup. The built-in audio interface provides inputs for a microphone (XLR) or a line source (6.35 mm TS), a headset (3.5 mm TRRS), or a RØDE wireless transmitter (Wireless GO II or Wireless ME). Thanks to the integrated DSP, the microphone signal can be enhanced with a high-pass filter, de-esser, noise gate, compressor, EQ, and Aphex Exciter, and arranged in the stereo panorama (Pan L/R). The free configuration software RØDE Central allows you to set the desired DSP settings. Once set, the chosen settings remain in the Streamer X. On the back of the device, there is a 6.35 mm TRS jack for connecting stereo headphones.

The Streamer X features two large rotary switches, two MUTE pads, and four programmable SMART pads with bank switch buttons. The left rotary switch controls the gain (gain knob) and the desired audio source (push button). The right rotary switch adjusts the headphone volume (knob) and can mute the headphones (push button). The two MUTE pads on the left allow for general on/off control of the audio source (left) and the video source (right). The SMART pads are used to trigger sounds, voice effects, and other commands, while the two bank switch buttons below provide access to four additional commands.
