The 5-Bay RAID Station is an external enclosure for five SATA hard drives that supports storage modes Clean/Single, Large, Clone, as well as RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10. The enclosure of the RAID Station is made of solid SECC steel, while the front door is made of ABS plastic. Behind this door are the hard drive mounting frames, into which 2.5" or 3.5" drives can be screwed. The mounting frames themselves are simply slid into the enclosure and locked in place. Configuring the RAID modes is quick and easy using DIP switches located on the back of the enclosure. There, you will also find the USB 3.0 and eSATA interfaces, which allow the RAID Station to be connected to compatible devices. The necessary cables, as well as the screws required for hard drive installation, are included in the package.
