Product details

The α6600 offers extensive functions for a wide range of situations - fast AF, reliable image stabilisation and impressive image quality, a powerful battery and professional 4K HDR (HLG-)2 video recording.

Reliable
and durable autofocus
Large AF area, extremely high AF speed and subject tracking
The high focus point density covers about 84% of the image area. The fast hybrid autofocus achieves the world's fastest capture time of 0.02 seconds3 through the best AF phase detection and contrast detection. With moving subjects, high-density AF points are activated around the subject.

4D FOCUS
Shoot at up to 11 frames per second4 with minimal display delay, 8 frames per second4 in Live View, and up to 1165 consecutive JPEG (standard) shots. By viewing the settings in the electronic viewfinder and viewing them in near real time, you can capture every moment of action.

Silent continuous shooting
When silence is required, shooting at up to 8 frames per second6 without noise is possible, even in AF-C mode. In combination with AF with real-time eye recognition or real-time tracking, this opens up new creative possibilities.

Real-time tracking and AF with real-time eye recognition
Start real-time tracking by holding down the shutter release button halfway, or select the subject by touch. You can also assign the tracking function to a custom button.

Motif tracking based on artificial intelligence
The camera's tracking system uses AI-based Scene Recognition Algorithms7 . Spatial information on colour, pattern (brightness) and distance (depth) is processed. In addition, high-speed tracking of the eye and face takes place in real time.

AF with real-time human eye recognition
Real-time AF with eye detection provides reliable eye detection and continuous tracking even when the subject is moving, backlit, looking down or part of the face is obscured.

Autofocus with real-time eye recognition for animals
The same eye recognition algorithms that help you create beautiful portraits are now available for animals8, so you can create beautiful animal portraits and wildlife shots.

AF selection right/left eye by touch9You can prioritize the subject's left or right eye not only in the settings, but also by a simple touch on the camera screen.

Smooth Transition Focus
Depending on the situation, the focus area automatically and seamlessly switches between the face and eyes of the subject you are tracking.

Activating tracking with Touch Tracking
Thanks to the touch tracking function, you simply need to touch the screen to start real-time tracking for photos or movies.

DigitalPhoto12 Kompakte Kamerasnim TestReleaseJuly 2024

Foto MagazinTechnik Test APS-C-KamerasReleaseSeptember 2023
