Thanks to the optional UHD drive, the PlayStation 5 Pro is a solid replacement for a regular Blu-ray player with a few limitations – it lacks video optimizers as well as support for Dolby Vision HDR, 3D discs, and CDs.

The new Xbox Series X achieved the same test score as the PlayStation 5 Pro thanks to extras such as multitasking and lower power consumption. In terms of graphics, however, the Xbox can't hold a candle to the PS5 Pro. In addition, the older Xbox version with disc drive is currently available for the same price - and is therefore the better choice.
