SparkFun Flex Sensor 2.2 / 5,6cm
Sensor10 pieces in stock at supplier
Product details
A simple flex sensor with a length of 2.2 / approximately 5.6 cm. When the sensor is bent, the resistance across the sensor increases. Patented technology from Spectra Symbol - they claim that these sensors were used in the original Nintendo Power Glove.
The resistance of the flex sensor changes when the metal pads are on the outside of the bend.
The connection is spaced at 0.1 inches and is breadboard-friendly. Please check the datasheet for complete specifications.
Note: Please avoid bending or stressing this sensor at the base. The usable range of the sensor can be bent easily, but care should be taken to minimize bending outside of the usable range. The best results are achieved when the base and the lower part are firmly mounted, allowing only the actual flex sensor to be bent.
