With this SATA III controller featuring 8 ports (6 Gbit/s), you can add eight SATA hard drives (6 Gbit/s) or solid-state drives (SSDs) to your computer system or server via an available PCIe x4 slot. The card supports SATA III and PCI-Express Gen 2 specifications, as well as four SATA controllers to provide a powerful data storage solution. Quad controller for SATA performance with 8 ports and 6 Gbit/s. With four SATA 6 Gbit/s controllers and 2 connectors, along with a PCIe-x4 MUX, this SATA card allows you to connect eight high-performance SATA 6 Gbit/s drives with a combined total throughput of up to 20 Gbit/s. The SATA drives are connected via two Mini-SAS connectors using the two included Mini-SAS to 4x SATA adapter cables to ensure a secure connection.
