This controller card features a bracket for either low-profile or standard height and provides 2 ports for PCI Express SATA 6 Gbit/s eSATA. The StarTech 2-Port PCI Express SATA III (6 Gbit/s) controller card allows you to add 2 internal or external SATA ports to your computer via a single PCI Express slot. It includes two switchable internal/external SATA ports that are compatible with SATA Revision 3.0 for bandwidths of up to 6 Gbps. The card supports SATA-based optical drives (CD/DVD/BD) and utilizes existing SATA I/II cables. It also supports Native Command Queue (NCQ) for ATA/ATAPI commands, and the port multiplier supports FIS-based and command-based switching. This product is compatible with PCI Express 2.0 standards.
