The Takamine P5DC electro-acoustic guitar combines the features of a classical guitar with modern technology. The beautifully resonant spruce top, paired with X-bracing, creates a sound that is both beautiful and bright. The warmth of the guitar's tone is provided by the rosewood sides and back. Designed with versatile features in mind, the P5DC includes the CT-3 Cool Tube preamp, which works in conjunction with the unique Palathetic saddle pickup for a clean tone. The dual-channel CTP-3 amplifier creates a low-voltage tube sound and easily transitions from bright and clear to a thick and warm sonic landscape. The three-band equalizer further allows for sound modification, and with the AUX input, you can connect an additional microphone to the guitar if needed. Additionally, the preamp includes chromatic tuning, which greatly facilitates keeping the guitar in tune during performances. The specially shaped neck makes playing easier as it is slightly narrower at higher positions on the neck. The whole package is completed with a hard case that comes with the guitar.
