The APO Lanthar series offers the highest resolution of all Voigtländer wide-angle lenses and can be considered the most powerful 35mm lens of all time. It will be available in both a version with a Leica M mount and one with a Sony E-mount. The optical design consists of 9 groups with 11 lens elements, including two double-sided aspherical elements, five with anomalous partial dispersion, and floating elements for optimal focusing performance. The lens supports the transmission of EXIF data, focus magnification, automatic lens correction, and 5-axis image stabilization (if available). The selective aperture system allows for silent aperture adjustment during video operation as an option.
