Coupler module for bus extension

The coupler terminal for the terminal bus extension 750-628 replaces the fieldbus coupler/controller at a bus terminal block. It is the counterpart to the end terminal 750-627. The connection cable is plugged into the upper RJ-45 socket, thereby establishing the logical connection to the fieldbus coupler/controller via the end terminal 750-627. The extension is completely transparent to the fieldbus coupler/controller. All functions of the bus terminal system remain unchanged. The lower RJ-45 socket allows for further extension of the system. The entire system can be expanded in 10 stages.

The supply voltage for the field level and the internal electronics can be fed separately. Both levels are thus galvanically isolated from each other. Two diagnostic LEDs provide information about the supply voltage for the respective bus terminal block (internal and field level). Two LEDs in the input socket indicate error-free communication with the bus coupler. The terminal can be used as the last coupler terminal in the system (enable termination resistor) or as a bridge between two bus terminal blocks.

Installation note: Caution: To ensure safe operating conditions when using the terminal bus extension 750-627/-628, these must be registered with the coupler or PLC before commissioning (supported couplers/PLCs see manual). The software "WAGO Extension Setting" is required for this. Please note that only one termination resistor may be enabled in the entire system. Please complete the manufacturing number matrix in case of a firmware update on the right side of the coupler.
