The SSH-6 is a mid-side stereo shotgun microphone capsule designed for the Zoom H5 and H6 recorders. In addition to the highly directional shotgun microphone in the center, the SSH-6 features a bidirectional side microphone to capture sounds from the left and right. You can adjust the stereo width to your preferences by changing the volume of the side microphone in the same way as with the MSH-6. When using the RAW mode, you can also modify the stereo width after recording. This feature is particularly useful when you want to specifically capture a certain sound source with the shotgun microphone and then mix in the ambient sounds from the side microphone afterward.
