The Metrologic MS5145-Eclipse is a single line handheld laser scanner. The Eclipse is equipped with Metrologic's patented CodeGade technology, offering a wide range of applications. CodeGate technology allows the user to easily scan the desired barcode and perform data transmission with a simple push of the CodeGate button. This combination makes Eclipse ideal for POS, menu scanning, document capture and inventory activities. The MS5145 Eclipse incorporates Metrologic's state-of-the-art scanner technology and features a longer read distance and wider scan field than a typical CCD scanner. The farther the scanner is from the bar code, the wider the scan line becomes. The Eclipse 5145 is a powerful single-line handheld laser scanner for all common barcode types. Its compact housing and extensive programming and connection options make it the ideal all-round scanner for many typical barcode applications.
The reading distance and scan field of the Eclipse 5145 are significantly higher than those of a CCD scanner, thanks to its modern laser engine. It reads very aggressively due to its high scan rate and can accurately read high-resolution or very small barcodes. It is suitable for use at the checkout, in jewelry stores, or for scanning tiny electronic components or mechanical elements. The Eclipse 5145 can withstand repeated drops from up to 1.5 meters onto concrete without damage, and its housing is dust-protected. Weighing only 97 grams, it is considered lightweight. CodeGate is particularly well-suited for scanning menus. CodeSense automatically switches from pulse mode to a continuous beam as soon as a barcode is detected. Powerlink cables use the same cables and power supplies as Voyager and Orbit and can be replaced by the user. The flash ROM allows for firmware updates from any PC using Honeywell's MetroSet2 software. It is compatible with OPOS and JPOS systems, enabling easy integration into any user system.
