and if the Swiss warranty doesn't work, which one does?

I see no reason at all - apart from the fact that Nikon CH refuses - not to buy this lens. The non-imported one has not been available for a long time. The lenses are from the same production and company. However, it is incomprehensible that Digitec charges too much for the glass! The other lens costs almost the same.
