i have a ryzen 5 3600 and a saphire pulse rx 5700 xt because i think that products from the same manufacturer fit better together. and i am quite happy with the card without raytracing.

That depends entirely on your preference. The two are equal in almost all respects. I am an AMD fanboy and like to support the underdog, if it can be done somehow without big compromises.
Here it is possible in any case. The AMD 5700 XT card does not have ray tracing.
