Hello Esiemoen

Yes according to the specification here:
Second Screen and Sync Screens modes: Simultaneously support full native resolution on the integrated display and up to 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution on up to two external displays, both with several million colours.

You probably just can't use the maximum resolution of the monitor.
