Do I have a PC401 NVMe 2280 here, does the housing work? Would there be something else?

The M2 2280 modules are standardised. So they should fit. You can find alternatives with the search filter.
The size of the NVMe is standardised (the last 2 digits indicate the length in mm (so in your case your SSD would also be 80mm long and therefore compatible with this enclosure. However, your SSD must not have a heat sink. Under PC401 SSD I find SSDs from Dell that do not have a heatsink, so the SSD should also work with this enclosure. However, the PC401 is an SSDR. Therefore, you would have to test whether this type actually works in the enclosure.
