Yes, should work if the cable is no longer than 5m.

Maximum cable lengths according to resolution

Full HD (1080p): Up to 10 metres with standard HDMI cables; high-quality cables can reach up to 15 metres.
CHIP tips

4K (2160p): Lengths of up to 5 metres with high-quality HDMI 2.0 cables are recommended. Active or optical HDMI cables are required for longer distances.

I second Toby‘s answer: up until 5m there shouldn‘t be any loss of signal quality even in cheap cables.

No, nothing should happen at 4 metres. From 6 metres or longer, there may be a loss of sound, especially with a soundbar.
