Does the device always have to have WLAN or only during installation? I only have a hotspot via mobile. The device does not need to be able to be operated remotely.

The device only requires Wi-Fi during installation to establish the connection and activate smart functions. After that, it can be operated without Wi-Fi as long as remote control is not required. A hotspot via mobile is sufficient for installation, as the device only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
