DVDs jerk all the time. The drive always spins the DVD very fast for 30 seconds and then again for about 1 minute it doesn't seem to spin at all. This happens with the 'recommended' player as well as with the VLC player... Can I fix this somehow, or is it the drive? (I use it with a Surface Book 2)

So far I have only used this drive with BlueRay discs. It works fine on newer PCs, also in combination with the VLC player. Playing BlueRay was not possible with an older device, but this was more due to the lack of processing power for decoding. Does the Surface supply enough power? Maybe it would help to use an external USB power supply with the Y-USB cable supplied?
