Hello, I have the Msi B450 A pro max, 32GB DDR4 RAM installed with the Ryzen 3 3200g ran without any problems, now I have the Ryzen 7 2700x and had to remove 2 RAM bars, so the part only runs with 16GB RAM, what is the reason for this? BIOS update or do I have to lower the voltage all are specified by the same manufacturer with 2666 MHz? Thanks
If the mainboard and the RAM ran with the 3200G, then the error can only be assumed to be with the 2700X. Check if any PIN on the CPU is bent. That could be a problem.
If this is not the case, then try again with the old CPU. If everything runs normally again with it, then the 2700X has a fault and can be exchanged under warranty.
