The docking station should be compatible with all HPs. I use an HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch and an HP Elite Book 14 inch.

No, the docking station is connected to a Z-Book from HP.

I think it should work. Check the specifications to be sure, you need the following connection:
1 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® 40 Gbit/s signal rate (USB power supply, DisplayPort™ 1.4)
The notebook still has a USB C port (same plug), do not connect to it!
I have an HP Omen notebook. Initially had problems with the Thunderbolt G4 dock. The UEFI BIOS had wrong parameters and needed a reset.

I have the docking station on a MacBook Pro. It works perfectly there. I don't know why it should be compatible within HP, but ultimately I can't answer your question. Either the product manager at Digitec or HP itself will be able to give you a more qualified answer. Best regards
