I have no idea. Works great for me without an aerial.

You do not need to connect an aerial. However, you have the option of connecting an external antenna, but this is not included, so in my opinion it is not necessary.

There must be 2. But my reception has deteriorated with the €16 antennas that are included on Amazon. Reception near the window is great. Can be tested very well via the app. I would try it out without an antenna first. Greetings Henning
