Question about Beyerdynamic DT 990Pro

Hi folks I know that the Beyerdynamic DT 990 has 250 ohm but do I really need an amp with my 570x Asus Rog Strix ITX mainbaord. I just want to use it for gaming and maybe some music listening. Unfortunately I don't want to go for the DT 770 with 32 or 80 ohm because it's closed and I want to wear it for a long time. Does anyone have it at home right now and could try it out?
