Question about Sony WF-1000XM5

hi together, I bought the WF-1000XM5 here in February this year. At first everything seemed to work fine. Since about 2 weeks the sound is only mono (on the left side normal, on the right side quiet, like mono). As I don't trust the wearing comfort, I only use them at home and therefore not every day, which means they are not damaged by dropping or moisture. System updates, resetting, re-pairing, adjusting app settings and phone settings, switching off mono on the phone (which was never on)... I've tried everything, the same when I connect the laptop. What can I do? Does anyone have any experience? It's extremely frustrating because I prefer the WF-1000XM5 to its predecessor. Thank you.

Hi Syydehaas,

we are sorry to hear this. If foreign objects, such as earwax, stick to the mesh part of the earplug tips, the sound may be muffled or difficult to hear. Refer to the "Maintenance" section and clean the ear tips as described before use. In these cases, try the following:
-Replace the ear tip tips with ones that fit better in the ears. When replacing the earplug tips, try different sized earplug tips, starting with large sizes. The optimum size of the earplug tips for the left and right ear may differ.
-Check whether there is a gap between the earplug tip and the ear canal because the earplug tip has not been fully inserted into the ear or an earplug tip of the wrong size is being used.
-Adjust the volume on the connected device.

Mine still work perfectly. Even in very noisy environments as hearing protection. I would return them. You still have a warranty.
