Question about Synology DS223

Hi I would like to use a 2x4TB NAS for backup on my local network of 3 PCs: -2 recent PCs, one of which is gaming, and a workstation -and an old workstation PC knowing that the OS of these PCs are 512GB, 1TB, and for the old PC I don't remember but it's say 512GB Will the Synology DS223 allow me to save my images of my disks, so that if one of the SSD master C: fails, I can reconstitute a replacement disk without difficulty. I have a decent level of IT knowledge, but I must admit that I've never taken the time to understand how to carry out back-ups properly. Thank you in advance for your help

Hi Robzer
I would generally only back up all my user data (images, data) to an external NAS. I can't say whether this works 1:1 with a complete partition. So far I have only made backups with special tools. 1st HD to 2nd HD.
It all depends on the operating system. There are various possibilities (;-)

To be honest, I don't see the point of using a nas to make an image of a private bone. You have to use it as a data server. For one-off images an external disk is enough as long as you have separated the dats from the system.
I hope I've answered your question.
Sincerely
