I am looking for a suitable enclosure for the following somewhat older SSD (for the purpose of data recovery): HP 824798-001 - 128GB M.2 2280 SATA III NGFF Solid State SSD Can anyone recommend a suitable product? I'm struggling to find something with the right form factor AND SATA interface Thanks for your help

Well, the M.2 form factor standard that supports 2 interface protocols (SATA and PCI-E)... More on the topic here: https://www.kingston.com/de...
In fact, this ICY box is not suitable because it has an M.2 PCI-E interface.
If you set the filter "Storage form factor" to M.2 2280 and the filter "Protocol" to AHCI (Sata) on the product page https://www.digitec.ch/de..., you will receive 10 suitable product suggestions for your HP SSD.
For example, this Transcend case: Transcend SSD Conversion Kit (M.2 2280, M.2 2242, M.2 2260) with USB-C interface.

The model above only works for M2 PCIexpress.
At Digitec-Galaxus, there are the Digitus M2-USB 3 models Digitus M2-USB 3 (M.2 2242, M.2 2230, M.2 2280, M.2 2260) which is compatible with the Sata interface.
