I bought this monitor, unfortunately my laptop is too old for the ideal resolution. I would like to buy a 17 inch laptop and use this monitor as an extension. What should I look for when buying a laptop? Thank you for any information.

The graphics card and the connection
(HDMI or Displayport) should always be up-to-date. If you only perform office tasks, Intel or AMD graphics cards are sufficient for current laptops. More is needed for gaming.
