I have connected an optical cable that also transmits an audio signal. unfortunately no sound. Even if I have selected the correct input source. Unfortunately it doesn't work at all. Tested 2 Hyperbooms with it. Also paid attention to the correct input signal "quadrat". does not work at all. What is the reason for this? Does anyone know how I can get sound via the optical cable?

Actually no problem, plug it in and select the square for the optical input on the box and off you go. Stupid question, but have you removed the protective cap from the optical cable? Sometimes it's really hard to recognise if you don't know.

check if the output source is stereo, if surround is set it will not work.
