Question about Kingston DataTraveler 2000

I need a USB stick that can be read and written by MacOS and Windows. Until now, this worked without any problems with encrypted Kingston Data Traveler and Ironkey sticks. Since the update to macOS Mojave 10.14 (2018), i.e. the latest operating system version from Apple), the Ironkey stick is no longer recognised and with the Kingston Data Traveler I receive an error message ("Unable to stard the DTLplus application. Please reinsert your DTLplus and try again"). So now I need a new encrypted USB stick that runs on macOS Mojave 10.14 AND Windows. Does this apply to the "Data Traveller 2000 keypad"? What other options are there? Thank you, burruchaga

Since the encryption happens on the USB stick, it works independently of the OS.
I use the DataTraveler 2000 Keypad USB stick under Windows, Redhat Linux and MacOS 10.13, so far without any problems.

Hello Francisco - thank you for your quick reply! If I understand correctly, you have not yet used the stick with macOS Mojave 10.14?
My IronKey stick worked perfectly up to and with macOS High Sierra 10.13 and only with macOS Mojave 10.14 was it no longer known on the Mac.
But if the Kingston Data Traveler runs independently of the operating system, then it should also work with 10.14 and I will buy the stick.

By the way, I have found another possibility in the meantime. The 128-bit AES encryption software SanDisk SecureAccess works both on my Mac with macOS 10.14 and on Windows PCs. However, apparently only on SanDisk sticks (i.e. not on a Kingston stick or similar). SanDisk Secure Access version 3.02 can be downloaded from the SanDisk website and easily installed on a (SanDisk) stick.

Cheers
