Question about Elgato Wave XLR

I would like to connect my XLR microphone (Rode NT1) to the PS5. I have the Universal Audio Arrow interface. After a lot of research, I found out that this Elgato Wave XLR can be used to connect my XLR microphone to the PS5. My question: What is the difference between this audio interface and other audio interfaces (e.g. Focusrite, Universal Audio, Steinberg) that apparently only THIS audio interface works for my use case.

The Elgato Wave XLR differs from other audio interfaces such as those from Focusrite, Universal Audio, and Steinberg in several important aspects that make it particularly suitable for use with the PS5:

## Compatibility without drivers
- The Wave XLR is a standalone, plug-and-play device that does not require any specific drivers on the PS5. This is crucial because the PS5 cannot install external drivers, which makes many other audio interfaces impossible.

## USB signal conversion
- The Wave XLR converts the XLR signal directly into a USB signal, allowing the PS5 to recognise and use the microphone. Other audio interfaces often require specific software or drivers that are not available on the PS5.

## Simple configuration
- The Wave XLR offers simple and intuitive configuration via the PS5 settings, without the need for complex software settings. This makes it much easier to use the XLR microphone with the PS5.

## Specific functions for gaming and streaming
- The Wave XLR has been specifically designed to meet the needs of streamers and gamers, with functions such as Clipguard anti-distortion technology, switchable low-cut filters and integration with Wave Link mixing software. These functions are particularly useful for a smooth audio experience while gaming and streaming.

These features make the Elgato Wave XLR particularly well suited to using an XLR microphone with the PS5, unlike other audio interfaces that do not fulfil these specific requirements.
