So you certainly don't want to tinker with the film spools. You can simply buy them if you don't have any. However, a 5-inch empty spool is already included in the delivery. On YouTube there are countless videos of this and similar products, which are probably all identical, only with a different branding/brand name. For example, the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch

For post-production and video editing in general, the usual video editing programmes (Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, DaVinci Resolve, etc) are recommended. Of course there are also freeware programmes on the net, just google "video editing Windows (or Mac)".

Enclosed is the complete scope of delivery:
- Scanner
- power supply unit
- USB cable
- TV-out cable
- 5-inch empty spool
- 2x adapter for coils S8-N8
- Cleaning brush
- Instruction manual

And the manufacturer's page (with more info): https://reflecta.de/de...

To change the FPS (Frame Per Second) from 30 to 18 or 16, use the free software (GNU license) GPAC and the commands: for the original file 0013
MP4Box -add 0013.mp4#video -raw 1 -new test
(creates the files test and test_track1.h264)
MP4Box -add test_track1.h264:fps=16 -new 0013-16.mp4
MP4Box -add test_track1.h264:fps=18 -new 0013-18.mp4

After my first tests, I prefer the High resolution (instead of medium).
There is still a problem with the colours (very blue), which is a little reduced with negative exposure (-0.5).
Greetings,
Marc

I split the film onto two or more 5 inch reels and reassemble it with MAGIX Pro-8. Another recommendation: There is an additional plug-in for Magix, Edius, Adobe etc. called "Neat-Video". Here the noise (grain) is perfectly eliminated. More information at https://www.filmpraxis.de/neatvideo

I will continue to edit the videos with MAGIX Video deLuxe 2016 (including speed adjustment), as I already own this product and have had good experiences with it.
I won't be tinkering with it so that larger reels fit on the device.
