I would like to set up an additional volume as a backup for my DS1821+. Either on the DX517 expansion unit or on a new, separate DS1821+ (in this case as a backup from one DS1821+ to the second DS1821+). What advice can you give me? Is it better to buy a DX517 or a second DS1821+?

I would buy a second DS1821+, then you can also mirror virtual machines etc. I have a second smaller DS, so I only mirror the data.
