Isn't the 500W power supply too weak for the system? Or is it because the CPU doesn't need that much? Would you have to be careful when upgrading the CPU?

Helpful answer

The 500W power supply in the Lenovo Legion T5 with AMD Ryzen 7 7700 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super is generally sufficient for the current system configuration.

- The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 processor consumes around 65-125 watts under load.
- The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super GPU consumes around 260-320 watts under load.
- The remaining components such as RAM and SSD consume a few additional watts, but overall the total consumption remains within the 500W limit.

When upgrading the CPU or GPU, however, you should carefully check whether the existing power supply unit is sufficient. A more powerful processor or a more powerful GPU could increase the power requirement and make a more powerful power supply unit necessary.
